Escape from the Sect

Shen Xiaochen had read a few vulgar romance stories and decided that everyone was secretly in love with her.

For example, her junior uncle had been sneaking glances at her lately, so he must like her. He'd even asked her to meet him in the middle of the night.

Shen Xiaochen's heart melted. Without hesitation, she leapt into the river of love. She poured her heart out to her junior uncle: "I get it, I get it. You couldn't hold back your love for me, so you finally confessed. I don't mind that you're antisocial, and I don't mind that you're poor."

Blushing shyly, she added, "My parents love me very much and are open-minded. They'll accept you because they love me. Let's become cultivation partners and be together!"

Her junior uncle stared blankly for a long while, then curled his lips into an inscrutable smile. "Sure."

Then he said, "My cultivation partner, I asked you to come because there's something I've been meaning to tell you. I thought it was best to let you know. Your parents are going to kill you."

On the surface, Xuanjing Sect was a sect where disciples occasionally went missing or defected. In truth, it was a prison. But this prison was unusual: the guards and prisoners lived together like family for over a decade.

Among cheerful neighbors and close friends, Shen Xiaochen couldn't tell allies from enemies. But she knew she couldn't escape alone. So she pretended not to know anything and began searching for allies, one by one...
