Tenderly Kept

The award ceremony is packed with celebrities.

Everyone crowds around the head of the powerful Zhou family, carefully avoiding any talk of marriage, afraid of touching a nerve.

Yet Zhou Mingyu stares fixedly at the stage, his gaze deep and unreadable.

The masked songstress commanding everyone's attention sounds just like his wife, who died four years ago.

For twenty years, he kept her in the palm of his hand, afraid the wind might hurt her or rain might splash her skirt. He granted every wish she had except the one for freedom.

In return, she betrayed him after plotting for a long time, playing with his heart as if it were in the palm of her hand.

"Brother, you're disgusting."

"Even if I have to die, I'll fly out of this gilded cage."

Zhou Mingyu cut off her wings without hesitation, but she still flew away.

Four years later, she flew back.

As another man's wife.

[A beautiful, calculating, frail heroine x a domineering, controlling, unhinged hero]

[Escape by deception, love that's hard to confess, forced romance]

[The hero pursues the heroine after the breakup, melodrama, sweet indulgence, doted on to the extreme]

[The outline was completed last year. Images are saved on Weibo.]

Don't let me fly

Keep me gently caged

Forgive me for flying

Though once

I longed for the sun
