Beauty and the Fox

Blurb: Shen Huaqing, the daughter of the prime minister, has been frail and sickly since childhood and was born with yin-yang eyes. She studies sorcery under Daoist Master Ci Yu. At the age of twelve, she saves a little fox who has lost its fur and gives it the inner core of a wolf king, granting it a thousand years of cultivation. Ten years later, the handsome fox spirit Rong Min comes to repay her kindness. Shen Huaqing's unusual constitution often draws handsome men from the ghost realm to her bedchamber at night, where they pour out their hearts. She has no admirers among the living, but the ghost realm's suitors keep coming. Rong Min appears in Shen Huaqing's bedchamber late at night, claiming he has come to repay his debt. Shen Huaqing takes a step back and clutches her lapel. "Are you going to offer yourself to me again?" Rong Min's eyes sparkle as he gently waves a jade fan. "I'm here to find you a husband." Only when Shen Huaqing and the general Song Zhaonan grow closer does Rong Min realize he regrets it. "Is it still in time to offer myself to you?"
