The newcomer has big, watery eyes and is dressed head to toe in childish teddy-bear fleece. They bump into her and spill her latte.
On her second day at her new job, the daily fortune report says, "Avoid being late today." Mai Miao hurries to catch the subway and squeeze her way to the office. At the very last second, someone beats her to the time clock. She looks up, and sees those same big, watery eyes.
She and her new colleague are simply incompatible.
