Yue Niang, a courtesan at the Imperial Music House, happens to save Ye Jing, the governor of the Inner Court Bureau, but mistakes him for a low-ranking eunuch and takes pity on him. Courtesans and eunuchs are both looked down upon by society. This is a story of two people supporting each other through a turbulent world.
An alternate universe with institutions modeled on the Ming dynasty.
Content warning: The male lead is a true eunuch, and the female lead is a woman who has fallen into prostitution in ancient times.
