The Wind by the River Is a Little Wild

The crematorium owner's son vs. a little girl

(The male lead's family runs a crematorium.)

A new transfer student arrived at Nancheng No. 3 High School. She wore a white blouse and a pleated skirt, and spoke in a soft, gentle voice.

One day after school, she saw some thugs fighting at the school gate. The one being beaten was Chen Jiangye, a boy in her class. He was pinned to the ground, his white T-shirt stained with blood. Xu Shu turned the corner and called the police.

The next day, Chen Jiangye blocked her path. "Thanks for yesterday."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"They won't leave you alone."

Xu Shu looked up and met Chen Jiangye's sharp gaze.

"But I'll protect you," Chen Jiangye continued.

Xu Shu replied coolly, "I don't need that, thanks."

"Transfer student, have you ever been in love?" Chen Jiangye called out to Xu Shu.

She stopped. Chen Jiangye walked up to her. "Transfer student..."

Xu Shu cut him off. "Chen Jiangye, I'm not interested in you."

After that day, Chen Jiangye and Xu Shu became strangers. Everyone thought Chen Jiangye had mistaken her politeness for interest.

Xu Shu later went abroad.

Six years later, Xu Shu returned to China. At the airport, she ran into Chen Jiangye again. He had become a powerful CEO in Nancheng.

Xu Shu: "Long time no see."

He had imagined a thousand times that when they met again, he would grind her bones to dust. In the end, all he said was, "Xiao Xu, I've never changed my number."
