In an interstellar age where countless species coexist, humanity is one of the most "fragile" races. Humans have evolved all kinds of special abilities: supernatural powers and mental power.

The most powerful of them all is the Deryl family, who have helped humanity establish itself among the other species.

But the more powerful a family is, the harder it is for them to have descendants. This is especially true of the Deryl family.

Everyone across the stars knows that the form mental power takes is usually an outward manifestation of a human's hidden bloodline, while supernatural abilities reflect the power of that bloodline. So, in families with a lineage going back more than a century, the forms taken by their mental power and abilities usually reveal their hidden bloodline.

The Deryl family, the strongest among humans, manifests as the mythical dark phoenix, a creature that exists only in legend. This also affects their supernatural ability, which is simply fire. No ordinary water can put it out, no matter what. Only members of the Deryl family can call it back.

Things to know before reading:

1. The heroine is the crown prince's daughter. People in this interstellar world live a long time, so even though she's in her fifties, she isn't married yet. And after the crown prince became a father, he was even less interested in getting married.

2. The heroine isn't particularly assertive. Although she grew up alone in a remote star system, the people she met were always kind, so she isn't at all cynical or resentful of the world.

3. The heroine knows the circumstances surrounding her birth, as her mother told her before she died, but she has no idea that her father is the crown prince of the empire.
