The Beauty's Curse

The Cat and Mouse fanfiction series consists of five books: Dragon Map is the first, Jade Mouse the second, Heavenly Book the third, A Second Stir in Tokyo the fourth, and Beauty the final installment. The series is complete and is one of my favorite live-action Cat and Mouse fanfics, so I'm posting it here. Please leave your comments, everyone. Thank you! Synopsis: In Jiangning, shocking murders erupt without warning at Niushou Mountain and along the Qinhuai River. All thirteen victims are men, and their genitals have been severed at the root. The mutilated bodies are buried in the wilderness. The killer's cruelty is so vicious that even Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang, long seasoned in the martial world, cannot help but shudder! They say the Chunyi House's chief courtesan, “Jade Peony,” is peerlessly beautiful, outshining all others. But who knew that behind the silken curtains, tenderness would be matched by danger? While investigating the case, Zhan Zhao is drugged with an aphrodisiac and suffers terribly... While investigating the case, Bai Yutang unexpectedly runs into his former lover, Jiang Wanqiu... The truth finally comes to light, but the ending leaves one sighing with sorrow and helplessness... Beauty has brought disaster since ancient times, or so they say. If all you see is a hero's tender heart and a tough man's softer side, who can truly remain unmoved by the passions of love? Intended message:
