Kitagawa Hitomi is face-blind, and not just a little. Her face blindness is so severe that it seems like everyone in the world has been forcibly mosaicked, including herself!
Scene 1:
Since both their parents had things to do today, Kitagawa Hayate had to pick up his younger sister Kitagawa Hitomi from kindergarten.
Hitomi: "You're not my big brother! My big brother would never wear clothes like that!"
Hayate wonders: So how on earth do you recognize people?!
And yet this face-blind girl can always spot Shinichi Kudo the moment he appears, even in a sea of people. She can even recognize him after he's shrunk!
Scene 2:
Shinichi Kudo, or rather Conan Edogawa, still can't figure out how Kitagawa Hitomi recognized him. She's completely and utterly face-blind.
So Shinichi Kudo, trapped in a child's body, decides to get to the bottom of it!
Conan Edogawa: "Hey, Hitomi, how do you recognize me?"
Kitagawa Hitomi: "Huh? Didn't I tell you when we first met?"
"Hey, your eyes are so pretty!" Those were the first words Kitagawa Hitomi said when she first got a clear look at Shinichi Kudo's face, back when she was still in kindergarten.
