Falling into Hostagehood with My Archenemy

Duan Zhiguan, the fourth prince of Duan, was immensely talented and naturally aloof. In the past, when he served as a strategist, he masterminded a campaign for one man and helped him achieve great accomplishments, only to be driven from his home by that man and left with a deep grudge.

Qin Lin, the second prince of Qin, was elegant and gentle. He once received help from a strategist, but believing the man had betrayed him, drove him away. By the time he discovered the truth, it was too late. His old friend was gone.

The two were sent to the enemy state as hostages at the same time. On the very first day they met, Duan Zhiguan tricked Qin Lin into a little dark room.

Later, Qin Lin came before him and raised a hand.

Duan Zhiguan: Going to slap me? Hah. Go ahead.

But that hand gently stroked his cheek. Qin Lin said softly, "Long time no see."

Daily life in the enemy state

One late night, in the inner room...

Qin Lin's eyes curved as he rubbed the head of the person before him, speaking fondly. "I haven't disciplined you in days, have I? Be good and lie down."

Duan Zhiguan: "Waaah... You brute! You beast!"

Duan Zhiguan: "All right, get off. The emperor's spies have left."

Qin Lin nestled into his arms. "Are you tired today? Thirsty? Want some water? Did I hurt you? Let me rub it for you."

Duan Zhiguan rubbed his head. "Good boy. Now get lost."

Later, after Duan Zhiguan escaped the enemy state, raised an army to fight back, and ascended to the throne, he mused, "Did I get where I am today through my brilliant mind or my iron will?"

Qin Lin: "Wake up. You got here by falling in love."

Gentle, devoted, seductive top X cold on the outside, soft on the inside, beautiful and tragic bottom. The top dotes on the bottom.

Rekindled romance and shamelessly sweet daily life. Romance-focused, with little emphasis on the career plot.

Theme: True feelings emerge in times of hardship.
