Li Shimin, who killed his brother Shi in exchange for the throne, made me very interested in him from a very young age. Princess Gaoyang was a daughter who was extremely favored by Emperor Taizong, but her biological mother's name was unknown and she only passed by in a hurry under the sky of history. So, I had a question, how did Princess Gaoyang's mother meet and fall in love with Li Shimin, and why did she disappear without a trace after Princess Gaoyang was born? I believe that this cannot be caused by her sudden death, otherwise Princess Gaoyang would not be unaware of it. So, I made two assumptions, one to write this short story, and the other to use as a story in a novel (which is not yet completed).
In addition to the hypothetical love, it also involves Princess Gaoyang's "rebellion", which is quite rebellious and completely opposite to a Shaoxing opera I watched when I was a child (Princess Gaoyang was a flirt, had an affair with a wild monk, and instigated a rebellion). The "rebellion" was purely a sacrifice in the struggle for palace power. She and Monk Bianji truly loved each other, and by the way, she expressed her dissatisfaction with Changsun Wuji's use of his sister's position as queen to dominate the government and the public.
