Love, greed, desire, and obsession entangle women of every kind: radiant, clever, virtuous, bold, domineering, devoted, cold-hearted, worldly yet uncorrupted, and more. In short, they are vivid and real. (I wanted to write about these women because in the feudal era, when men held supreme power, women were portrayed so rarely. Even if they were an empress or a beloved princess, history preserved only a few brief lines about them. So, with my still-incomplete knowledge, I hope to peer through the gaps in time and catch a glimpse of these women's brilliance.)
