Before Jiang Yiwan died, he got a storybook from a beggar. It was called The Master's Darkened Disciple.
This was a tale of the supernatural centered on a tortured romance between master and disciple. One character was especially incredible, leaving a deep impression and serving as the beloved ideal of everyone in the story: Jiang Yiyan.
Just how incredible was he? In the original text, he was described like this:
"Cool and pure as snow, radiant as the moon. One glimpse can ruin a lifetime; never seeing him is a lifetime's regret."
His strength was among the best in the entire story. At a young age, he earned the title "Sword Immortal in the Snow," and even some ancient monsters were wary of him.
The protagonist, the master's disciple, held Jiang Yiyan in the highest regard and had always wanted to fight him.
As luck would have it, after Jiang Yiwan died, he transmigrated into Jiang Yiyan, right as the protagonist was about to duel him.
But Jiang Yiwan couldn't do a thing, and he had none of Jiang Yiyan's memories. From the start, he was in a deadly predicament, and it looked like he was doomed.
Just then, something called the System bound itself to Jiang Yiwan:
"This is the Swagger System 10087. I'll help you swagger your way to the top!"
"Now begin your swaggering performance!"
#Swagger like the wind, ever at my side#
#Swaggering is my life; if I don't swagger, I die#
#Are you afraid of me when I'm swaggering?#
