The Laid-Back Life in the Marquis's Manor

A proper tale of household intrigue, coming soon.

A seventy-year-old marquis beats the daylights out of a fifty-year-old wastrel heir.

I tell my husband, "The tea in the old marquis's room is really good~"

My husband tells me to drink plenty. Who knows how long it'll be before the next beating?

A haughty concubine butts heads with the principal wife over the right to manage the household.

I tell my husband, "That plaque in the main hall, written by Academician Zhang of the Hanlin Academy, is lovely~"

My husband tells me to wait a bit. When Academician Zhang returns to the capital, he'll ask him to write one for me, too.

Gu Yang has transmigrated into the Pingyang Marquis's household, a place famous for its crowds, chaos, and constant uproar. She thinks: It's pretty nice. I've got food and clothes, and I get to watch a show day and night.

Her husband, Yu Yuan, tugs her sleeve and offers a friendly reminder: "Wife, don't let your eyes light up when you're watching the show."

Gu Yang nods earnestly. "Understood! My goal is to be the most dedicated couch potato in the whole marquis's household!"

Note: The story itself is a little more serious than the blurb.
