If you love someone deeply, how do you miss them? Jiang Shengling traces the outline of the Huai River and recites its eleven meanings from memory, hoping the gods of the mountains and rivers will bless Ji Sui in all things. But Ji Sui says, "You are the sea breeze heaven sent to the plains, born in the East China Sea. You crossed the Yangtze and came to the Huai region. You crossed mountains and rivers to rush toward me, reckless and without a second thought. I am grateful to heaven for giving the Huai River its meaning, and I will love you with all the warmth in my heart."
