The False Gentleman

Bai Yao first met Liang Zhu at a gathering with her boyfriend, Xiang Huai, and all his childhood friends. Their eyes met. His gaze was faintly amused. "Miss Bai." The second time she saw him was in a dim stairwell. The gentleman everyone praised untied his tie at the slightest suggestive invitation from her, trapping her against the wall as they lost themselves in each other. He leaned close to her ear. "Guess, does he know what we're doing right now?" Her boyfriend's betrayal drove Bai Yao to this impulsive act of revenge. But as it turned out, the man she'd provoked wasn't a gentleman at all. He was a wolf in sheep's clothing. That night, she went on pretending with Xiang Huai as usual. Before getting out of the passenger seat, she barely managed to dodge his goodnight kiss, unaware that from outside the car, they looked intimate. "Bai Yao," the man chuckled softly in the dark as she stepped into the hallway. "When are you going to tell him about us?" - When Xiang Huai gathered all his friends and prepared a surprise proposal, imagining that marrying Bai Yao would let him have both her and her wealth, someone in full view of the crowd knelt down at his proposal before he could. The room fell silent. Everyone watched Liang Zhu kneel on one knee and take out a ring, his eyes dark with a smile. "A Yao, will you marry me?" // Liang Zhu has three great pleasures in life. First, pretending to be a gentleman. Second, keeping his ambitions and desires in check as he slowly draws closer to her. Third, tearing off his disguise right in front of her. As far as Liang Zhu is concerned, he had his eye on her long ago. Even when she still belonged to someone else. Theme: None
