The Empress's Third Marriage

Zheng Tisheng was reborn, back before her reputation was ruined. In her previous life, she had been cautious at every turn, yet her adoptive mother destroyed her good name, and she suffered three broken engagements. When she opened her eyes again, it was at the very moment her adoptive mother was having an affair in her previous life. Fine, fine. With an opportunity right in front of her, she would seize it and rise to the top! To Zheng Tisheng, her fiances were as insignificant as dust. She briskly went through the process of breaking off all three engagements, never expecting the men to refuse to let go, each determined to marry her. A powerful minister, a general, and a nobleman's son all vied and schemed against one another to marry her. The three men fought over her, never expecting to overlook a sickly, reserved crown prince. It wasn't until the new emperor ascended the throne and Zheng Tisheng was made empress that everyone realized that even after breaking off three engagements, each of her marriages had been to a higher-ranking man than the last!
