He watched as the person he loved vanished without a trace, while the person he hated rose higher and higher. Bit by bit, hatred filled his heart.
The story version: Back in middle school, Qian Ming hated his own name countless times. He hated how common it sounded, how it couldn't match Zhong Tingjun's refinement. But that wasn't when he loved him most. Later, when Qian Ming discovered that everything about their meeting and falling in love had been part of a scheme, a scheme born of jealousy, he was already deeply in love with Zhong Tingjun. He tried to let everything go and trust Zhong Tingjun, but ended up utterly defeated, his reputation in ruins. ... For the rest of his life, his hatred would not fade. He tossed and turned, caught between dreams and waking, sometimes raving, sometimes laughing and crying, until he met the System.
