[Bungou Stray Dogs] I Have a Word-Based Ability, but I Don't Want to Rule the World

Thanks to A Cheng for making me a new cover! The original title is on the cover. Blurb 1: Huang Shang, female, an S-rank ability user from China. Her ability is [Long Live the Emperor], a command-based power. Wherever she stands, she is the emperor; whatever she says becomes reality. She can twist reality and the laws of the world. One fine morning, she set foot on Japanese soil. ...And then some Mafia, some detective agency, and some Vongola family were plunged into the biggest nightmare of their existence. Question: What's it like having a command-based ability that's basically a cheat code? Huang Shang: Thanks for asking. I've blown up the Port Mafia headquarters, turned the Armed Detective Agency upside down, thrown the Vongola into chaos, and almost killed Byakuran and taken his place destroying the world. Now everyone's terrified of me, which makes me very happy. The only downside is that the side effects of my ability are pretty awful, and my reputation gets trashed on a daily basis. Also, I'm not interested in ruling the world. I hope certain people get the message and stop bothering me while I study for civil service exams and apply for a stable government job. Blurb 2: Huang Shang, an (allegedly) perfectly ordinary student from China, a hopeless patriot, always working hard to build a better China. Huang Shang: For the sake of a better China, I'm working hard to poach talent... Known so far: For the sake of his old friends, Nakahara Chuuya is in the Mafia but his heart belongs to China. He helps out every now and then, a hardworking wage slave who trembles with anxiety and never gets a day off. For the sake of his son's future, Rando is a humble wage slave working hard to earn a living in China. For the sake of protecting his comrades, student dog Rokudo Mukuro was forced to sign a one-sided work contract and come to China for compulsory education. Coming soon: For the sake of earning money to support his family and pay off his debts, the unlucky Verlaine is forced to work in China with his old partner. For the sake of staying alive, Byakuran announces that he'll put his talents to work for China and help advance its technology. For the sake of feeling the warmth of home, Sigma decisively abandons the Russians and joins China's big family as an all-purpose secretary. More tools to be added. Self-proclaimed humble wage-slave Dazai, a certain walking pile of sludge [excited]: Aww, I wanna go with you too! Huang Shang: Get lost. The Zero Division doesn't take sludge. Notes: 1. The whole story is told in first person. The heroine is gorgeous, powerful, and adored, with brains and combat ability to match. Being capable doesn't mean she's invincible. If that's not your thing, don't read. 2. Men are temporary, but China will always rank above everyone else in the heroine's heart. The pairing is undecided. Pick your favorite, and there might not be a romance at all (after all, Huang Shang's true love is China). 3. Female-led relationships! Female-led relationships! Female on top, male on bottom! No matter who the pairing is, the heroine is always the top! (Emphasis!) Because of the heroine's ability, some canon characters become pregnant, but there are no births, and the pregnancies aren't real babies. If that bothers you, don't read! [Important!] 4. The heroine's ability is heavily restricted when she's underage (before ascending the throne). [Important!] Most of the blurb takes place after she's an adult (and has ascended the throne). (So please stop asking why the heroine seems so weak when her ability is so powerful!!!) 5. This story is 70% absurd comedy and 30% serious drama. All Chinese ability users are original creations, so please don't confuse them with canon characters. No unsolicited advice, fighting, or picking arguments. No insults directed at any characters. If you're dropping the story, please leave quietly. The author is sensitive, so there's no need to leave a comment just to make your presence known. Thanks. Updates whenever I feel like it. Please don't ask for updates. Theme: Everything for the best China.
