I Sacrificed My Ex-Husband to Heaven and Ascended the Throne

The day he died was the final moment of the battle against the rebel army.

Jiang Yu sat astride her horse, watching the enemy general on the city wall across from her press a blade to her fiance's neck. "If you don't withdraw, your husband's life is forfeit!"

Behind her stood the soldiers who had fought their way through bloodshed by her side. Before her was the fiance with whom she shared a deep bond. Jiang Yu hesitated for a moment.

Then she drew her bow, nocked an arrow... and took his life with her own hands.

"The enemy is treacherous and has captured my husband. But we fight for our country, and I do not fear dying on the battlefield. How could I surrender the land our soldiers bought with their lives for the sake of personal feelings..."

The battle roused the troops to high morale, and the enemy was completely wiped out at the foot of the city.

As an imperial princess, Jiang Yu ascended the throne on the strength of this unparalleled achievement.
