Everyone else knows Fu Chenfei as a rich, famous, powerful man who keeps Jiang Fan like a precious canary. But Jiang Fan knows exactly what he is: a free live-in babysitter working off a debt, a money pit whose whole life wouldn't be enough to pay it back.
Just when he thinks he'll spend the rest of his life like this, their debt is suddenly paid off, and his life as a housekeeper ends with it. Their marriage, empty in all but name, begins to come to an end.
"Let's get a divorce."
"Okay."
Before they could even get the paperwork done, Jiang Fan left the Fu household.
Then one day, Mr. Fu discovers that the silent canary from his marriage is actually a top designer who spends her nights DJing at clubs and works a respectable job by day. And some stranger he doesn't know is pursuing her. Boss Fu is furious. That's his wife, his legal wife, since they haven't finished the divorce paperwork.
The legendary Boss Fu, a decisive and inscrutable business tycoon, suddenly sees the light: What should he do if his wife is about to leave?
Fu Chenfei doesn't know that Jiang Fan is the childhood sweetheart he once held hands with and insisted he would marry. Jiang Fan doesn't know that Fu Chenfei is the man she wanted to meet when she was seventeen, so badly that she smashed his car with a chair leg. Their lives become tangled up, and what should have been an amicable divorce turns into a romance after marriage.
Mr. Fu: Jiang Fan, we can't get divorced. The dog tore up our marriage certificate.
Jiang Fan thinks Mr. Fu has conjured a dog out of thin air.
The dog says it won't take the blame.
A long road of chasing his wife after a marriage that came first, in a sweet little story about nothing but falling in love. (The CEO isn't your typical overbearing, domineering, cool, and arrogant type. He's a bit of a dummy at first, but give him time to grow, and he'll turn into a sharpshooter who hits you with a straight ball.)
Side couple bonus story: The Jinx and the Troublemaker (Chapters 55-82. If you don't read the side couple, you don't have to buy the complete book, since it's quite a long arc.)
Some character tags:
Qin Yueyang: The "scumbag gong" from the opening turns out to be a loyal house dog. A buzz-cut, rugged, straight man whose true form is a windbreaker, known as the ferocious king of the wilderness. He'll chase his wife shamelessly, toss his pride aside, and use "underhanded" tactics with a "dirty" mind. Seduction first, teasing second, like a hungry dog eyeing his giant bone.
Lu He: Ruthless and heartless in business, but hopelessly outmatched in love. A king of talking tough and then eating his words, a prickly tsundere who pays lip service to principles while giving way to someone without limits, and a heart-arsonist who runs as fast as he can, only to circle back and fall into the trap himself.
My other novel about two doctors, Doctor Jiang, Give Me a Smile, is complete~
Theme: No matter what life throws at you, always turn toward the sun.
Compared to the main CP, I actually prefer the story of the side CP... They are both sweet, but the sweet taste is different
I feel that the secondary CP is more exciting than the main CP
It smells so good. It's so good. It's not easy to make an awkward and arrogant monster have a long mouth.
Hey, deputy CP, let's have a good time.
Help, the deputy CP is so addicted!!!
So good, love is so sweet [hehehehehe...]
I saw something good!!!
I didn't expect that I could still see updates, hehe, but I still hope to see the next newly opened article. I didn't even open a new column when I clicked on it before, which is a pity.
This cookie is a bit sharp...
Oh my god, I just found out about the update! I'm so tortured by online classes that I can't even look good!
