After eight years as enemies, Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya unexpectedly switch bodies. The long-separated former partners reconnect, and their repeated, unpredictable soul swaps make the two former enemies work together even more smoothly.
They make a pact: to keep their identities secret, whoever's body they're in is who they are.
And so Dazai leads the Port Mafia's Black Lizard forces in an attack on the Detective Agency, while Chuuya helps the Agency defend itself to the death.
Though both are top members of their organizations, one treats life like a game, while the other has a twisted sense of right and wrong.
Bound by ropes, Chuuya looks at the Detective Agency members sprawled all around him. "Hey, you damn mackerel, go easy on them!"
Dazai remains perfectly calm. "It's fine. I'll take them with me when I escape later."
Then there's the fleeting indulgence of a night among wine and women, where their senses blur and desire takes over.
"Dazai..." Chuuya gazes at the man before him, his face flushed. "Weren't you the one who invited me to join the Port Mafia?" Why were you the first to leave in the end...?
Theme: Cherish life.
But in the case of Chuuya, he should have guessed that it was Dazai when his superpower didn't work, and Dazai, as a person who claims to have mastered Chuuya's breathing rhythm, would not fail to recognize Chuuya... They know each other too well... And if it was Chuuya, when he saw Dazai in the cage, he would have believed him, thinking that this was a part of his plan, and he would not have cried and become so confused that he didn't even care about pretending...
And this doesn't have much of a reaction to the word murderer. He is a gangster himself. Even when he was a member of the Sheep before joining the Hong Kong gang, he had killed many people.
This idea is very strange! Chuuya: Ahhh!!! Why would I switch bodies with this disgusting mackerel?
