The Pampered Darling Has a Baby in the Eighties

Blurb 1

Everyone in the village knew how domineering, shrewish, and unreasonable Old Zhou's wife could be.

While pregnant, she couldn't stand the loneliness and forced Zhou Qi, who was serving in the army, to come back and divorce her.

Everyone felt sorry for Zhou Qi, but they were also waiting for a spectacle.

Strangely enough,

after the family made a huge commotion the night Zhou Qi returned,

his wife didn't leave the house again.

The villagers next saw Ye Wenyu a week later.

She cradled her round belly, her little face rosy and her skin fair. Her whole demeanor had changed.

The little pregnant woman had barely stepped out the front door when something seemed to frighten her.

She turned around and ran back inside like a little rabbit, sobbing.

Even from beyond the courtyard wall, they could hear Ye Wenyu's sweet, babyish voice: “Qiqi! Boohoo! There's a dog!”

Before long, Zhou Qi came out carrying a stick.

The villagers: “???”

They were still waiting for the divorce drama. So they weren't getting divorced?

Blurb 2

Zhou Qi felt that his wife had become a different person.

She used to be aggressive and threaten to die over everything.

Now she complained that he hadn't bathed, and even politely said thank you?

:)

She cried at the drop of a hat, but she'd become cultured and gentle.

Her only problem was that she was hard to please!

:)

On rainy days, she complained that the mud in the courtyard stuck to her feet, so he laid a path with bricks.

She said the hard bed was uncomfortable and insisted on sleeping on his eight-pack abs.

She was afraid of dogs! So afraid that he beat every dog in the village until they didn't dare make a sound.

Zhou Qi patiently catered to her every need, as long as she was willing to settle down and live a good life with him.

But not long after she gave birth,

Ye Wenyu ran away!!!

Zhou Qi: “...”

(Lights a cigarette / takes a deep breath / can't calm down / chases after his wife!)
