Blurb:

On the day Xu Zhiyan turned eighteen, Cheng Lie drove her out to look at the stars.

Maybe the mood was right, or maybe the night was so beautiful that it made them want to open their hearts.

Xu Zhiyan gazed at the stars and asked, "Cheng Lie, do you like me?"

Cheng Lie's eyes flickered as he looked at her with dark eyes.

Xu Zhiyan smiled softly and asked him, "If I were to be with you, what kind of promise could you make me?"

She knew it was a cliche question, and that a promise made at eighteen might not mean much.

But on that moonlit night, Cheng Lie answered her this way.

He said, "I will never look away, and I will always be that way."

Later, Cheng Lie was sent to prison, and Xu Zhiyan thought this was how her life would be from then on.

But eight years later, his case was overturned.

Xu Zhiyan went to see him.

That night, Cheng Lie walked her home, and the two of them stood at her doorway, neither willing to back down.

Xu Zhiyan asked him, "Do you think it's all in the past? If you say yes, I'll stop bothering you from today on."

Cheng Lie fell silent.

Unwilling to give up, she said, "Answer me. Yes or no?"

"No," he said in a low, hoarse voice.

In the briefest moment, they were kissing, passionate, fiery, and tender.

From the doorway all the way to the bedroom, moonlight spilled across the floor.
