Please take a look at my just-launched no-romance story, The Doomsday Ghost Is Actually Me...
(Reader's note: This is an old story from five years ago. Please go easy on the author (/doge).) Blurb below:
Yang Zhen, a wicked minister who was killed by an unknown System, transmigrated into a book.
In the blink of an eye, he became the sickly, top-grade villainous teacher in the book, with five top-grade villainous brats still growing up around him.
The original character in the book: Yang Zhao was a beautiful, sickly child prodigy. He passed the provincial exam at fourteen, becoming the youngest teacher at Kaifeng Academy. But he was twisted and cruel, treating his students harshly. More than ten years later, his students joined forces to kill him. He was tortured with the fish-scale skinning punishment before death, and whipped after he died.
Yang Zhen: Brats, let your teacher show you what it means to have a flower-like exterior and the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys of a wicked minister.
Ten-year-old Student A: "Teacher... I failed the children's exam."
Fourteen-year-old flower-like teacher: "It's all right. I took it seven times back then and tried to hang myself seven times, too. You're still young."
"..."
Isn't he the future triple exam champion? The rebel leader's chief strategist?
Student B: "Waaah... Teacher, I accidentally killed a little sparrow."
Yang Zhen handed him a knife. "You can cut it open and see if a sparrow, though small, has all five internal organs."
"Waaah... Teacher, you're so mean."
How did this coward become Minister of Justice?
Student C, who loved fighting and would have his entire clan exterminated...
Student D, as handsome as Pan An, who married the princess and helped her rebel...
Student E, who lived in misery and was forced into rebellion...
And a hidden brat, the son of a rebellious vassal prince...
Even the little cousin who depended on him became a villain of the martial world...
Yang Zhen figured that he and the brats around him made up the whole book's team of villainous male side characters.
The kind who could form a group and debut together...
But what happened later?
Later... the children he taught became unbreakable and ruthless, yet everyone praised them for their loyalty and virtue...
Reading guide: 1. This story has no romance. The relationships don't change in nature; it's all about teaching and educating. The story has lots of foreshadowing. (If you insist on arguing and insulting me over a particular piece of foreshadowing, you'll win no matter what. Even the male lead blushing after transmigrating into the book is foreshadowing. One clue can contain another clue. I've already addressed this in the story, so if you keep insulting me, I won't be polite.) Please don't assume I'll forget a clue just because I haven't explained it in the early chapters. Don't worry, I won't miss it. If you don't want to wait for the clues to be revealed, then let's part ways here; no need to tell me. There are some ambiguous moments in the story, but please don't speculate about whether I intend to write a danmei romance or anything like that. The male lead has no romantic pairing, and neither do the students.
2. The male lead died once. After transmigrating into the book, he follows the principle of appearing foolish while being wise in the early chapters (at first he's an extremely laid-back, flower-like beauty). In the middle, he returns to his usual wicked-minister ways. The beginning is slow-paced, and there won't be any face-slapping the moment he appears. Also, the male lead has what amounts to a fake version of the book's plot. The real story differs greatly from the book he read, and he has to figure out a lot of things himself. The male lead's name, Yang Zhen, and the original character's name, Yang Zhao, will be used interchangeably in the story. When recalling the original character's history, the name Yang Zhao will appear, and people around the male lead will all call Yang Zhen Yang Zhao. (I didn't get this wrong, and I don't want to answer this question again. Thanks for your support. Please pay attention to this point, I beg you.)
3. The teacher and students aren't far apart in age, and the student brats all have different personalities. The story mainly focuses on the imperial examinations and court politics, with a wide range of other elements, including academy life, household intrigue, farming, and food.
4. Please understand that I can't accept comments that tell me how to write. If you want to give writing advice, you can go to another author instead. This transmigration story is set in a fictional world that is very loosely based on reality, so don't expect historical accuracy.
5. Anyone who posts spoilers in the free chapters will have all their luck sucked away by me (evil grin).
6. The scene-break symbols disappeared in the non-VIP chapters. I've added some back, but I was too lazy to add the rest. This doesn't happen in the VIP chapters.
The silly author's new story: The Doomsday Ghost Is Actually Me. Please add it to your library.
Blurb:
I finally managed to convince myself to stop minding my own business and expose a member of the Federation's leadership at a meeting aboard the T-Z3 airship. But then I found out that every Federation soldier aboard the T-Z3... was a traitor.
With no other choice, I activated the only time-travel system the Federation soldiers hadn't confiscated, for the first time in my life, just to survive.
I thought it would take me back at most three days, but I ended up five years in the past.
I used to be an outsider who took jobs for money. My greatest pleasure was gazing at the pale blue arc of the planet's sky from beyond its atmosphere.
I never expected the rumors about me on the ground to be so... sordid.
"Coercing" Akaliansi Temple, supposedly one of the top three ground combatants?
No, impossible. I've never even met Akaliansi Temple. I only just remembered that such a legendary figure existed. They're the mysterious Akaliansi Temple, after all.
And "harassing" a rare beauty, the Federation military's once-in-a-millennium handsome major.
Bullshit! I'm not interested in any human, let alone a man. Even if he's a once-in-a-millennium beauty.
I'm one of the people in charge of the SS4 space station. Three generations of my family have worked there. This is my first time, no, my second time on the ground.
What on earth went wrong?
I won't let the person slandering me behind my back get away with it. (grits teeth)
Come to think of it, I'd been a nobody for twenty-five years. Why would anyone go to such lengths to ruin the reputation of an untalented person like me?
Something still doesn't add up.
No romance. A serious story.
Male lead: A serious person going mad / an inhuman ghost / cold and heartless, but with a colorful inner life...
I'm terrible at writing blurbs. I used first-person narration to make it easier to get into the story, but the story itself is written in third person.
Theme: It takes ten years to grow a tree and a hundred years to cultivate people. Unintentionally planting a willow creates shade.
I was still sliding down, and then I realized it was gone, gone, gone...
It's great to see everyone moving towards new life and achieving consummation.
It feels like an empty basket. Many story lines feel like they could be extended.
I've finished watching it, I've finished watching it, it's good
I feel like the plot is well written, but the character creation is still lacking, so give it a try!
The good-looking [Three Flower Cat Head] is free and I haven't finished it yet, so I re-read it because I want to see the endings of many people, such as the third prince and so on, hahaha. Also, I don't understand how Queen Mei can have three children with King Qin after she has been in the palace for 20 years. I hope someone with good intentions can answer it [Like]
I still like the first half of the book "In the Academy" the most
It ended suddenly, and I'm so reluctant to let it go~ But after working hard for the first half of my life, everyone can live a good life, which will be great~
Cheers to the author, the writing is very good.
Alas! The story structure is good~
