An Unconventional Entrepreneur (Marvel and DC Crossover)

The media often say, “Faris can succeed at anything he does.” From an orphan kidnapped amid the flames of war to a now-renowned entrepreneur, from absolute poverty to billionaire wealth, Faris is a successful businessman, a world-famous industrialist, and a living example of the American Dream. Of course, he also has all the qualities of a capitalist. On his path to success, whether he liked it or not, he always had to use honeyed words to coax and deceive, and make decisions that put profit first. He is, of course, a hypocrite, a two-faced man. Faris knows this well, and has made his peace with it in this dog-eat-dog world. Like every rich person, he has done his share of charity (or perhaps he has done a little too much), but that is the most he can give back to the world. And this “cold-blooded bastard” has a friend with an even worse reputation as a “cold-blooded bastard”: Tony Stark. At least Faris isn’t a playboy. He’s a proper industrialist. He would never sleep through a shareholders’ meeting or hold one at a pool party. Then his closest friend disappeared. He’d been kidnapped. Faris went to considerable trouble to get him back, only for Tony Stark, once an even more ruthless capitalist than he was, to return and say, “I’m shutting down the weapons division” and “I am Iron Man.” Faris, feeling deeply betrayed: ??? He immediately cut ties with Stark. Give him a break. A villain like him doesn’t need superhero friends. # Tony Stark swears he really had no idea Faris would be so opposed to him becoming a superhero. He knows it could certainly count as a kind of betrayal, suddenly switching from the bad side to the good side. But honestly, doesn’t he know Faris well enough? Before this, between the two of them, he was hardly the one who most wanted to become a good person. And if they’re going to make that comparison, why does this evil dragon, Faris, have no interest in him, the princess? Oh, right, he might be the knight. That would make sense. But a Stark shouldn’t let his unrequited love come to nothing. Tony decides he’ll never give up. #Notes# Tony is the pairing. Two grown-up, overbearing CEOs, definitely not virgins. When I was outlining, I got a timeline point wrong, so the entire timeline before Iron Man appears is a mess. There’s no time to fix it, so please ignore it.
