1. This is a memoir (first person / lots of inner thoughts / [Best read while lying in bed at night])

2. The protagonist spends the whole time keeping his head down. No CP.

3. Realistic. No supernatural abilities. The protagonist can't breathe underwater; he's a pure-blooded human.

(For the realistic elements: ocean mysteries such as dead zones, ghost ships, and phantom islands. Nothing like the supernatural fantasy of Pirates of the Caribbean.)

One more important note:

- Merfolk aren't human, so don't judge him by human standards. He's a sea creature, and he needs to reproduce. Fierce and wild.

(Think of the difference between an ape-man and a modern human.)

- The protagonist is an ordinary human, the kind who wouldn't last a week stranded on a desert island. He has no special cheat abilities and can't even crack a coconut with his bare hands. Poor thing.

- The relationship is between an owner and a pet, like a person and a dog who are close to each other.

Updates will probably be irregular until mid-2021.
