After spending a year in the online voice-acting scene, Weicheng suddenly found himself paired with a CV who had a couple name that matched his own. Their voices even sounded unexpectedly good together.
They quickly became the officially recognized couple in their fans' eyes, and every audio drama they worked on together was a hit.
Weicheng thought it was all just fate, until one day Xie Yibin, the son of his neighbors, came back from abroad and started “bumping into” him outside his apartment every day, insisting they eat together.
At the table, Xie Yibin suddenly said, “Let’s date.”
Weicheng was baffled. “Are you possessed?”
“I’m serious.”
“But we barely know each other.”
Xie Yibin stared at him for a while, his voice clear and familiar. “I’m Jinyou. We’re... the officially recognized couple.”
Later, a friend asked Weicheng how to get fans’ attention. He earnestly offered this advice: “Ship yourselves.”
“Like you and Jinyou?”
“We’re not pretending to be a couple,” Weicheng corrected him. “We’re a real couple.”
Note: CV refers to a character’s voice, not a voice actor or dubbing actor. CV is not a profession. The correct term is online voice actor, but since people online usually say CV, and I can’t find a suitable alternative, the book will continue to use CV to refer to the profession. Readers, please don’t misunderstand.
