A Secret Journey

They are the adopted sons of the legendary wizard Elminster, twins bound by fate, and remnants of the gods' legacy from the Time of Troubles. The story takes place on the continent of Faerun, in 1385 DR, twenty-eight years after the Time of Troubles. With the end of the Time of Troubles, the gods returned to their divine realms, and the world settled into a kind of uneasy peace. Faerun has never known true peace, but compared with the chaos that erupted when the gods fell into the Material Plane, things are finally beginning to improve. The protagonists are twin brothers. The elder, Kavil, is a powerful wizard who follows the path of the Arcane. He is disciplined and aloof, but years spent studying in isolation have left him somewhat naive in certain ways. His younger brother, Ista, is a fighter as well as a wizard, an experienced adventurer with a resilient nature and a love of enjoying life. The story revolves around the mystery of their origins. As they journey in search of the legendary artifact, the Staff of Savras, the brothers, as different as fire and ice, gradually come to understand how important they are to each other and join forces to defeat countless powerful enemies. By the time they finally find the legendary artifact and learn who they really are, the world has already undergone irreversible changes because of them... This story is set in the D&D universe.
