Piano prodigy Qu Yunxi loses her sight in an accident and never wants to touch the piano again.

Her parents accept a generous bride price and "sell" her off to Jian Chi as his wife.

Jian Chi isn't the terrifying brute the rumors make him out to be. Instead, he treats her with tender affection and is also an excellent pianist.

Qu Yunxi accompanies Jian Chi to a banquet. Hoping for some peace and quiet, she sits alone on the balcony to enjoy the breeze.

After the banquet, Jian Chi plays the piano to help Qu Yunxi sleep. She suddenly leans in and kisses him.

Jian Chi looks flustered. "You can't see what I look like. You haven't seen how I treat people, so you don't know whether I'm a good person or a bad one..."

"But I can hear you."

Their long hair entwines, and the brilliant lawyer is putty in his wife's hands.

Jian Chi thinks he's awful, taking advantage of Qu Yunxi when she's fallen from her pedestal.

Qu Yunxi thinks Jian Chi is the best person in the world. When everyone else gave up on her and mocked her, Jian Chi chose to embrace her.
