The Noble Academy's Little Sidekick

Also known as The Lowest-Grade Genes

The Empire classifies genes into five grades. Those with all-E grades are useless and are called the lowest-grade genes.

Ye Qing is one such lowest-grade person, and an orphan to boot. Because of his striking looks, the Di family adopted him, and he became Di Cunqiu's little tagalong.

When Di Cunqiu entered the Empire's Royal Military Academy, Ye Qing was brought along like an accessory.

Di Cunqiu said, "You're timid and useless, can't do anything, and you're stupid with no background. You're a poor little thing with only a pretty face. Do you know what you'll face at the academy?"

Ye Qing knew the Royal Military Academy was a place where the strong preyed on the weak, class distinctions ran deep, and all kinds of terrifying stories circulated.

Di Cunqiu: "So you mustn't leave your master's side, not even for a moment. Otherwise, those people will eat you up, little by little."

Di Cunqiu thought that if he kept Ye Qing close and never let him out of his sight, Ye Qing would stay by his side forever.

But his poor little thing still changed masters, again and again.

A timid, pitiful, frail, pretty, kind little tagalong bottom. The top is hard to define; none of them are any good.

The bottom has a growth arc.

Angsty, satisfying love-triangle chaos, with 1,000% competition between men.

His beauty was so dazzling that no one could even imagine it. Thankfully, he had the lowest-grade genes, so anyone could easily feel superior to him, and give in to desire.
