[Blurb]
In the 36th century, top Huaguo scientist Yi Yao is caught in an accident during an experiment and unexpectedly transmigrates into a long, melodramatic TV series currently airing.
Not only has she become a cannon-fodder side character with the same name who dies tragically in the third episode, she has also somehow been bound to a romance-assistance System.
System: “Hello, Host. I’m Romance Assistance System No. 007, here to help you max out affection and win over handsome men! You’ll be on your way to the peak of life!”
Yi Yao: “Mm, sure. Go play by yourself for a bit while I finish my controlled nuclear fusion model.”
System: “...You’re just humoring me, aren’t you?”
System: “Host! The male lead is nearby. Go run into him right now!”
Yi Yao: “Mm, sure. Once I’ve measured the stability coefficient for symmetrical particle transmission, I’ll have the guard approve his request to meet me.”
System: “...Tell them to put their guns down first!!!”
System: “Host! If you don’t like the male lead, how about these male supporting characters? I have all kinds of romance items. There’s bound to be one you like!”
Yi Yao: “Okay. Lend me your whitening pills and slimming pills.”
System: “Host! You’ve finally seen the light and decided to win them over!!! (Moved to tears)”
Yi Yao: “A drug that can alter the structure of the human body in such a short time must have transformed the residue characteristics of DNA hydrogen-bond chains. If applied properly in medicine, it could potentially cure genetic diseases.”
System: “I shouldn’t have gotten my hopes up about you...”
System: “Host, I’ve figured it out. Forget handsome men, supporting characters, and affection levels. None of that matters! Let’s just rely on each other and muddle through however the hell we can!”
On the news:
Business tycoon Yan Shichu (Affection: 100%): “Miss Yi Yao is a scientist I deeply admire. The Yan Group sincerely hopes to work with her.”
Piano prince Yu Minran (Affection: 100%): “I’m very grateful to Miss Yi Yao. My father recovered thanks to the nanomedical robots she developed.”
Popular idol Qin Shangyi (Affection: 100%): “It’s an honor to endorse the smart home assistant developed by Miss Yi Yao’s laboratory. I’ll keep working hard to improve myself and make her proud!”
System: This is a little strange, but... I guess that counts as achieving the affection-level targets... right?
