Only then does everyone realize Jiang Rao already has someone she loves.

Not long afterward, the man Jiang Rao loves cheats on her.

After dating him for seven years, she is betrayed. For the first time in her life, she goes to a bar to drink her sorrows away.

She cries and laughs like a madwoman, drunk enough to forget who everyone is.

Through the haze, Jiang Rao sees Gu Yaoye.

He sits down beside her and hands her a cup of hangover tea, looking stern and proper. “You're doing all this to yourself over some scumbag? You're really something.”

Scolded by him, Jiang Rao jumps up in indignation. “Aren't you a scumbag too? How dare you criticize someone else?”

Her adorably fierce expression leaves him speechless. A moment later, he can't help laughing. “I'm a playboy, not a scumbag.”

Jiang Rao glares at him. “What's the difference?”

Gu Yaoye gently pinches her cheek. “Of course there's a difference. Scumbags are ugly. Playboys are handsome.”
