Filling in the gaps. Originally titled Feast of Clear Skies, pen name Baoshi.
After the Primordial World collapsed and the ancient gods fell into decline, cultivation flourished. Humans, demons, and devils; Daoism, Buddhism, demons, and devils, all vied for supremacy. Most of the ancient gods of the Primordial World returned to chaos, leaving fewer than one in ten.
Xin She was caught up in a tribulation and ruined the Buddhist son's cultivation in the Buddha's realm. The more resentful she became, the more she felt she owed him. Neither knew who owed whom. Then some clueless fools came looking for trouble. She might as well kill them and enjoy herself.
The heroine is the sort who kills gods when she meets them and Buddhas when she sees them, yet somehow she fell under the Buddhist son's spell.
P.S. Everything serves the plot. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.
