Bewitching Gu

(I can't get the writing to flow, so I'm pausing updates. Sorry!) Every man who treated her badly has become a big shot, and now they all want to get back together. They think she'll wait faithfully for them to show her mercy, but then a notorious playboy gets caught in his own trap???

The Fusi Yao clan has a rule: when a girl turns fourteen, a love charm is planted in her body. The charm uses love as bait, forcing its bearer to endure every kind of romantic tribulation in the world. In the end, she must sever all ties of affection to prove herself worthy of shouldering great responsibility.

Each heartbreak leaves a petal on her forehead. Once the petals are complete, she can break free from her cocoon and be reborn. Among the women of the Yao clan, rank is determined by the number of petals. The gifted Yao Shu returns from her trials with a meager five petals, becoming a laughingstock throughout Fusi City.

The boy she once loved has joined her enemy's side without hesitation, and her fiance has fallen for someone else and sworn to break off their engagement. Just then, one by one, the men she had "played" show up at her door, using every trick in the book to make her take responsibility. One even turns up with a porcelain-doll-like child in tow, accusing her of abandoning them both and demanding that the city lord take his side.

Only after the five men's identities are revealed do the people of Fusi City understand one thing: when it comes to men, quality matters more than quantity; when it comes to romantic trials, intensity matters more than number.

Note: Though she's a playgirl, this is a one-on-one romance.

A friendly heads-up: This is a trial release, so the text may be revised repeatedly at any time. Feel free to come back and read it later.

Theme: Independence and self-reliance
