Just Don't Fall in Love with Me

How could she ever beat a dead man?

People said Liu Xingxing managed to win Chen Yue over because her face looked strikingly similar to someone else's.

Otherwise, how could Chen Yue possibly accept Liu Xingxing, whose identity was so fraught?

For seven years, Liu Xingxing had stayed by his side, careful and cautious. At last, Chen Yue gave in and said, "Let's get married."

Before Liu Xingxing could even put on the engagement ring, Chen Yue's white moonlight, the person who had supposedly died, came back.

On the eve of their wedding, Liu Xingxing became the one who didn't belong.

Even on the day she tried on her wedding dress, she sat in the shop until it closed, but Chen Yue never showed up.

The night before the wedding, Chen Yue finally appeared after disappearing for more than half a month.

He offered her a substantial breakup payment. Through tear-blurred eyes, Liu Xingxing shook her head.

The man shook off her hand. "Liu Xingxing, don't make this harder for either of us."

Liu Xingxing sat where he had left her for the entire night.

When the morning sun fell on her, she suddenly let go.

Chen Yue was always chasing after someone's silhouette, with no room in his eyes for anyone else.

Until the star that had revolved around him for years disappeared.

He fell ill with lovesickness, growing thinner and more listless by the day.

A friend kindly pointed out that he might be depressed and should see a doctor.

"It won't help." Chen Yue gave a bitter smile and shook his head. Only he knew

that this illness would be cured the moment he saw Liu Xingxing.

Chen Yue chased after her for thousands of miles with an engagement ring, arriving in an unfamiliar city.

He stood in the bitter wind and waited all night.

Liu Xingxing returned to her apartment after working overtime. Chen Yue went up to her, but she looked straight ahead and said coolly, "Excuse me."

Unwilling to give up, the man took out the ring. "Xingxing, give me one more chance."

Liu Xingxing froze for a few seconds, then reached out. Chen Yue's eyes lit up as he prepared to put the ring on her finger.

With a snap, the ring box closed. Liu Xingxing shook off his hand. "Chen Yue, don't make this harder for either of us."
