The Museum Night Watcher

Xia Chi, a little-known livestreamer who explores spooky places, walked into a museum slated for demolition while streaming.

Then he vanished before the eyes of his few online viewers.

“Where’s the streamer? What was that just now?”

“I saw a few words, but I can hardly believe it.”

“The Underworld Museum.”

Seeing the smiling judge before him, Xia Chi reluctantly accepted that this place wasn’t a museum at all. It was an Underworld job-retraining program, specifically recruiting ghosts who were unwanted by both Heaven and Earth and wandered the human world.

Little by little, the run-down museum grew more and more popular.

The long-lost Suihou Pearl, a phoenix totem mask from ten thousand years ago, and the Hehe Luminous Pearl, stolen over a century ago, all resurfaced one after another.

The human world was thrown into an uproar, and the Underworld was in turmoil too. Ghosts who had already passed on clamored to stay in the human world and find new jobs.

The Underworld’s population suddenly dwindled, and a certain big shot could no longer sit still...

Sheng Sixuan glowered. “I told you to recruit wandering ghosts, not ghosts on the Underworld payroll.”

Xia Chi: “I know. That’s why I only let them work part-time. I haven’t put them on the roster.”

Much later,

Sheng Sixuan’s expression darkened even further. “Are you still hiring part-timers? The kind who are treasures of the museum.”

Xia Chi: “...”
