I'm Really Not an Immortal

A modern spiritual qi revival story, featuring an overpowered old monster as the bottom and a Ghost King who will stop at nothing, a devoted top. Bai Qi crawled out of a coffin after being washed through the river of time. He had seen all things under heaven, yet lost his memories alone. But he didn't care. Compared with the past, his present life of simple meals and everyday comforts was pretty nice, and soda and his phone were great too. He never expected the world to change and spiritual qi to revive, bringing strange phenomena everywhere. In the West, mages chanted and knights reappeared. In Japan, people formed contracts with bellflowers and controlled shikigami... With no other choice, Bai Qi traveled from province to province, clad in a Daoist robe, spreading the teachings on his own. Everyone kept asking Bai Qi, "Are you an immortal?" Standing atop a dragon's head, Bai Qi looked like an exiled immortal. He smiled faintly. "There are no immortals in this world. Believe in science." With that, he drifted away... Bai Qi once crossed swords with Guiguzi and fought for the Qin Empire with a spear in hand. He had witnessed the burning of Red Cliffs, exchanged poetry with Taibai, and seen the Tang capital ablaze with lights through the night. Time had left no mark on him, yet his soul was full of the weight of ages. "I don't know where I should go..." Bai Qi murmured, his Daoist robe billowing behind him as loneliness surrounded him. "I'll use every means at my disposal, just to become your place to call home." The black dragon, transformed into a Ghost King, spoke with tenderness in his red eyes. P.S. 1. The characters' outlooks do not represent the author's. I'm a beginner, and this is my first original work, so it has its share of flaws. Heart! 2. This is an alternate world. Some historical details are out of character, and the romance is somewhat underdeveloped. The focus is on the main plot. 3.
