The School Heartthrob's Boyfriend Is Bound to a Bratty System

Ning Xue brought breakfast to the campus heartthrob, Lu Chuanye, rain or shine for two whole months before finally warming his heart and becoming his girlfriend. She had barely had two days to celebrate when Ning Xue learned that she was actually inside a book. Lu Chuanye was the male lead, and she was his cannon-fodder ex-girlfriend. Luckily, she had no feelings for Lu Chuanye at all. She had only been so attentive to win the campus heartthrob's protection. Ning Xue decided to play her part as the cannon-fodder female supporting character and wait until the time was right to break up amicably. Lu Chuanye, who knew nothing about this: Heh. I'm only going to fool around with her for a few days. There's no way I'll fall for her! He laid down three rules for Ning Xue: One: She wasn't allowed to cling to him. Two: She had to listen to him. Three: If she couldn't follow the first two rules, he could break up with her at any time. Who knew that a fussy System would suddenly assign him a task? [Within 12 hours, get Ning Xue to feed you a bowl of mango pomelo sago that she made herself, or face an electric shock punishment.] So Lu, the young master who had declared that he would never do anything for a woman in his life, ran all over the city just to buy Ning Xue a bowl of mango pomelo sago. Then he looked at her pleadingly. "Babe, feed me." Onlookers: Campus heartthrob, your whole persona has collapsed! Lu Chuanye had always thought Ning Xue was sweet and obedient, and that she always did whatever he said. Until he got bound to the fussy System and made requests of Ning Xue: "Babe, buy me a cup of milk tea." "Babe, rub my shoulders." "Babe, look at me..." Her answers came in a trio of refusals: "I'm busy." "Don't you have hands?" "You're getting clingy." Lu Chuanye: "..." Weren't you supposed to be sweet and obedient, and do whatever I said? - Everyone assumed that Lu Chuanye's attentiveness toward Ning Xue was just a passing whim and would soon come to an end. They waited and waited. A few days passed, and then a few months... Who would have thought they would see Ning Xue focused on her studies while Lu Chuanye tugged on her sleeve, looking aggrieved? "Babe, look at me." "Can a textbook really be more handsome than me?"
