The Person Who Stole the Title of My Savior Can't Have Me

Chen Sheng once rescued a handsome young man from the sea and fell in love with him at first sight. At the time, he hadn't undergone his secondary gender differentiation yet. When he spotted someone approaching from a distance, he was afraid they'd discover what he was, so he hid. Only after the young man woke up did he feel safe enough to leave. After returning home, Chen Sheng told his older brother about his romantic tale of rescuing a damsel in distress. His brother asked, “Did the human you rescued see your face?” Chen Sheng said, “He was still unconscious when I dragged him ashore. I doubt he got a good look.” His brother asked again, “You said a human came over?” Chen Sheng replied, “Yeah, I saw a boy around seventeen or eighteen. He looked like the young man's companion.” “Oh, a boy is fine. If it had been a pretty girl, this might have ended up like The Little Mermaid.” “...” As it turned out, a handsome boy could lead to a story just like The Little Mermaid, too. Chen Sheng got his heart broken before he even got to fall in love. After differentiating as a male, Chen Sheng decided to catch up with the times and check out a bar. When he woke up, he found an unfamiliar man lying beside him. The more he looked, the more familiar the man seemed. Wait, wasn't this the “princess from a neighboring kingdom” who ends up with the prince in The Little Mermaid?!!! Theme: The Little Mermaid, a melodramatic old trope
