Dream of the Red Chamber: When the Blossoms Fall

The dream lover's life is brief, all longing and empty promises of romance. All the beauties return to the dust, while the birds fly back to the woods.

Yet when she awakes, the flowers are still in full bloom, and another lively festival has arrived.

What is real? What is false? Should one leave, or stay?

The above is all nonsense.

Daiyu had a nightmare. In her dream, the great mansion fell, the land withered, and the sisters who had laughed and played with her were either married off far away or died unjustly. The powerful families were gone, the dynasty had fallen, and mountains of bones lay nameless.

What should she do?

This book includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Daiyu writing a manifesto atop a tower in Jinling

The heroic general Jia Yuanchun

Xue Baochai suddenly changing the person she encourages to pursue success

This book was inspired by the Guiyou edition continuation and the first eighty chapters of Dream of the Red Chamber. The late Ming and early Qing period provided historical reference for the story.

Theme: A thousand beauties grieve together, and ten thousand flowers weep.
