Abbott, You Look Like You're Struggling to Grow Those Sprouts

Shen Du, a transmigrator. Other people transmigrate and start out as princes, tycoons, or cultivation prodigies. He starts out as a beggar who fights a dog for food and loses. He can't go on living. He wants to die. When the water reaches his chest, an old voice says: "Since you've come this far, are you really so eager to leave?" Then a tortoiseshell and three copper coins appear in his hands, and he discovers he can see people's Fate Trees. Everyone's fate is a tree, with countless branches and forks. Even more astonishing, he can pluck shoots from his own Fate Tree and plant them in someone else's. Plant a healing shoot, and he can bring the dead back to life and regrow flesh on bones. Plant a ghost shoot, and he can command shadow soldiers and topple a kingdom. Shen Du squats outside a dilapidated Taoist temple, watching the two brats in the courtyard. One is round and chubby, sneaking candy with great care. The other fixes him with a gloomy stare, making no effort to hide his murderous intent. "So, is it still possible to return them?" In the end, he raised two scions capable of turning the world upside down. Theme: Even someone in the mud can grow into a tree that blocks out the sky.
