Everyone says that gods and Buddhas are compassionate, looking down upon the joys, sorrows, and anger of all living things with pity. When cause and effect come full circle, good and evil will receive their just deserts.
I only laugh. The so-called gods and Buddhas are merely embodiments of the indifferent Great Dao. When they witness an unjust case or tragedy, all they offer is a simple "Namo Amitabha."
