The Eunuch's Redemption

Sanqing had served as an official for thirteen years, wielding power over the entire court. He was a devil-hearted man who committed every imaginable evil and never did a single good deed. After the crown prince ascended the throne, Sanqing was sentenced to an agonizing death. On the day of his execution, the people gathered to watch and cheered with delight. As he was dying, he glimpsed a woman standing quietly in a corner among the jubilant crowd. Dressed in mourning white, she gazed at him with tears streaming down her face. It was Sixi. She had been his palace companion when he first entered the palace: kind and gentle, with a beauty like a painting. She had even mended his clothes and sewn his sleeves, like an ordinary wife. But the young woman couldn't stand his cruel and brutal ways, and she left him. Sanqing's ghost drifted in the air. He saw that the next day, when the crown prince purged the guilty factions, Sixi's name was on the list. For thirteen years, she had remained pure and proud, never taking a single benefit from him. Yet she was dragged down by his actions and died a miserable death. She died on the execution platform where he was being sliced to death. A heavy snowfall arrived without a sound, covering their bodies like a tiny tomb. In life, they could not share a word. In death, the snow came to seal their shared coffin. * Sanqing was reborn. The first thing he did after being reborn was stop Sixi as she was about to leave him, and humbly say: "I was wrong. Let's make up and start over." * In time, everyone praised the two loyal officials whose efforts had helped uphold the court, pacify the borderlands, and keep the Southern Dynasty safe: The enchanting boy and the lovely girl, Sanqing and Sixi. * PS: This is the story of a vicious, dead eunuch who is forced to mend his ways in order to win back his wife. The male lead is a real eunuch, but he keeps very clean and has plenty of tricks up his sleeve. Theme: Governor, try being a good person!
