Part One:
Thirteen years later, on the day Chi Cheng sees Tian Xia again, she plants a big red lipstick kiss on his face in front of both their parents. The man pinned beneath her looks completely stunned, raising his hands helplessly and giving her the urge to tease him.
They move to a new campus at the start of the new semester, and Chi Cheng becomes his neighbor-school classmate.
Later, under dim lights, the man who had been helpless after just one kiss looks at her with unreadable eyes. He presses his thumb against her lower lip and says hoarsely, "I've always been one to repay every slight. It's been so long. How are you going to make it up to me for that kiss?"
Part Two:
Tian Xia, who usually keeps a safe distance from girls, has lately been picking on one girl nonstop. His friends tease him, saying this elementary-school way of getting her attention went out of style eight hundred years ago.
Tian Xia snorts. "I've seen her being chased by a dog with her bare butt showing. Why would I need to pull a stunt like that?"
After they get together, Chi Cheng somehow hears about this. Furious, she tracks down Tian Xia, grabs him by the collar, and snaps, "I heard you've been spreading rumors everywhere that I got chased by a dog with my bare butt showing?! What dog? How did it chase me?"
Tian Xia takes her hand and murmurs soothingly, "I was the one chasing you. I shamelessly stuck to you and chased after you."

Blurb:

Later, the TV station does a personal interview with Xie Yang. After the interview, the reporter jokes, "I hear Dr. Xie's wife is a reporter at our station. Can we gossip a little and ask how the two of you got together?"
The man in the white shirt gradually lets his serious expression melt away, revealing the first smile of the interview. He chuckles. "The first time I saw her was at a disaster site. She was on her knees, risking everything to lift a child out of the rubble. I fell hopelessly in love with her right then."
Qiao Xiaoxiao, sitting below the stage, pauses and smiles as she shakes her head.
Actually, she was the one who fell hopelessly in love with him.
