Yan Guanning woke up one morning and discovered that she had transmigrated into a book...
When she learned that the original heroine was beautiful, weak, and miserable, Yan Guanning was overcome with joy.
What's so bad about being weak? With a face as beautiful as mine, I, Yan Guanning, can defy fate and rewrite my destiny...
In the original story, the heroine was a princess of the fallen former dynasty. Ministers from the old regime tried to use her to overthrow the current ruler, but before they could act, the Crown Prince wiped out their hideout in one fell swoop.
During the chaos of war, the heroine fled into the mountains and became a nun. Who could have guessed that two years later, after the Prince of Chu died and the Crown Prince took the throne, the imperial decree delivered to her wouldn't order her execution, but instead command the emperor to take her as his consort!!!
Early on: Yan Guanning: Enjoy life and stay alive. Chu Yuan: Get lost. Don't sully my sight.
Later: Yan Guanning: Enjoy life and bask in the emperor's favor. Chu Yuan: Come into my arms, quick!
