..."Can you cover the sky with one hand?" the Underworld Official asked.
"No." The two simple words came slowly from the young man's mouth. A thousand years had passed, and he had nearly forgotten how to speak.
"Were you once fabulously wealthy?" the Underworld Official continued.
"No," the young man answered with difficulty. He found that every word he spoke tore at the flesh inside his mouth. The taste of blood spread across his tongue, gradually becoming stronger, until dark red blood slowly seeped from the corner of his mouth.
"Then are you a once-in-a-century genius?" the Underworld Official asked again.
"No." The young man stared at him lifelessly.
The Underworld Official looked at the young man, bewildered. Doubtfully, he turned and asked, "Your Majesty, the King of Hell, are you sure it's him?"
Behind him, the King of Hell was peeling some top-quality fruit sent as tribute. He glared at the Underworld Official and waved his hand. "Sign the papers and let him go. Why are you asking so many damn questions?"
Xie Yun, a heavily imprisoned convict in the nineteenth level of the underworld, has been reborn. This means he is the only soul in a thousand years to be reborn after being held in the dungeon. How did he die a thousand years ago? Why was he reborn a thousand years later? What adventures await him? Hello, everyone. I'm Jiyu, and this is my first attempt at writing this kind of novel. From the first draft to the revisions and then another new draft, building the world and looking up reference materials took a great deal of time. I hope I won't disappoint you. I've incorporated a few elements from mythology and history, and I hope you enjoy them. I'm a newcomer, Jiyu, and I hope you'll support me.
