Rose Trap*

After Lu Zexiu got together with Gu Qingcheng, his friends watched his boundaries grow looser and looser, and tried to talk him out of it. He brushed them all off.

"It's just for fun. I know where to draw the line."

But the face-slapping came swiftly and mercilessly. When Gu Qingcheng walked away, he realized his little game had already become a poison that burned its way into his very bones and heart.

They met again years later...

In a dimly lit bar, the woman was tipsy, languid, and alluring. She wrapped her arms around his neck and nestled against him, pouting. "What took you so long? I've been waiting ages."

Lu Zexiu glanced at the person behind her, his eyes dark and cold, then pulled her into his arms and soothed her. "I was wrong."

One wild night...

As Gu Qingcheng left, someone grabbed her by the wrist. "Playing me again?"

Her slender, pale fingers traced the man's straight nose, and she placed a kiss at the corner of his lips. "What else?"

Lu Zexiu gritted his teeth and pinned her beneath him. "This time, try playing me for the rest of your life."

At twenty, Gu Qingcheng met Lu Zexiu.

One was detached and cool, the other carefree and irreverent.

In their relationship, he began with a game, while she began with a scheme.

It began absurdly and ended just as abruptly.
