Life in the Military in the 1970s

After living through the apocalypse for several years, Shi Xiaotao transmigrates to the 1970s, where people can't get enough to eat or warm clothes to wear, and her whole family has to scrimp and save to get by.

Just as Shi Xiaotao is worrying about food, Gu Mingze, who left home more than a decade ago, comes to visit from next door.

Gu Mingze: Marry me. We'll set up our own household after the wedding. I'll hand over my wages, and there'll always be enough food.

With a generous allowance and great benefits, and a man who sends money but never comes home, Shi Xiaotao is overjoyed and agrees on the spot.
