This is a story that isn't quite so idealized. I've read so many Dream of the Red Chamber fanfics, and Baoyu gets slandered way too much. Let him have another chance.

When I read the original Dream of Red Mansions, I really hated Aunt Xue, Xue Baochai and Mrs. Wang. They were the three most annoying people in the whole book. They were the only three who caused Lin Daiyu to die young. Xue Baochai deserved to die alone in the end. Really. Retribution, if Jia Baoyu had not been caught and held on, he would not have ended up alone forever. He knew clearly that Jia Baoyu liked Lin Daiyu, but he still shamelessly got involved. This book is well written, and their characters are quite consistent.
Mrs. Wang was bitten by a snake once and has been afraid of well ropes for ten years! What I'm most afraid of is that if Baoyu comes into contact with Xue Pan, his future career will be ruined! Aunt Xue doesn't love Baochai at all. If she really loves her, she should find her a scholar or something. She also has something to look forward to. Wouldn't finding a business owner ruin her daughter's life?
I have no regrets. It is the fanfic that I have read that is most consistent with the original character design. It does not maliciously belittle the other Twelve Golden Hairpins. When I read the original work, I hated the gossip-mongering Xi Ren the most, the confused Aunt Xue, and the confused Mrs. Wang. The others actually only had a few minor flaws at most, but people are not perfect in the first place, so they fit the original work very well.
Find a way to take Yinglian out of the Xue family! Even if you eat chaffy vegetables, living with Mrs. Feng is better than anything else! Who is Xue Pan? If a dog can't change its habit of eating shit, should Yinglian have to pay for it for the rest of her life?
Aunt Xue finally thought about it and stopped staring at Baoyu. In fact, why bother? As long as her daughter lives a happy life, why should she marry Baoyu?
